Emily Ratajkowski recently dazzled on a brief excursion to Mexico City.
The renowned model and actress was spotted soaking up the sun in a chic bikini, despite facing unwarranted criticism regarding her intellect and influence. Emily shared snapshots of her vacation activities on social media, which included sipping coffee, indulging in desserts at upscale eateries, and taking an aerial tour of the city by helicopter.
But Emily wasn’t on this adventure by herself.
Her young son, Sylvester, aged two, whose father is Emily’s former spouse, Sebastian Bear-McClard, was her travel companion.
Sylvester featured in a couple of the photos: one where he shared a tender embrace with his mother on a helipad, and another where he was seen tackling a quesadilla of impressive size. The toddler was adorably dressed in a rainbow tie-dye shirt paired with blue trousers, his blond locks flowing freely.
In her Instagram caption, Emily referred to the trip as “36 hours in Mexico City with my tiny world traveler,” adding in Spanish her eagerness to return to what she calls one of her favorite destinations.
The comments on her post brimmed with warmth from Mexican fans, extending invitations for her to return anytime. “You are always welcome in Mexico,” commented a user, reflecting a sentiment echoed by many others.
Controversial Clash with Piers Morgan
Contrasting this recent warmth, Emily recalled a less pleasant encounter dating back to 2017 with British journalist Piers Morgan. During a segment on ‘Good Morning Britain,’ Morgan engaged in an extensive tirade against Emily after she appeared in a photoshoot clad in lingerie and adorned with pasta, arguing about the message it sent.
Emily later defended her choices, describing them as empowering. She has consistently maintained that her self-expression—through fashion, behavior, or sexuality—is her own prerogative, and any decision she makes along these lines deserves respect.
However, Morgan responded on the show by disdainfully labeling her a “global bimbo” and crudely advising her to get dressed and find a “proper job.”
Facing stereotypes with confidence
In response to these relentless stereotypes, Emily has decided to embrace the narrative with defiance rather than fight it.
Showcasing her confidence and self-assurance, she recently shared a series of elegant photographs, one of which featured her in a striking black bodysuit, choosing to ignore the baseless accusations and instead focusing on her flourishing career as an actress, model, and entrepreneur.
