Dannielynn Birkhead turns heads at the 2024 Kentucky Derby.
The 17-year-old daughter of the late Anna Nicole Smith made a stylish appearance with her father Larry Birkhead at the Barnstable-Brown Gala on Friday, May 3, kicking off the Kentucky Derby weekend with flair.
The pair posed for two snapshots, one seated together in a chair and another standing in a hallway, giving a complete view of Dannielynn’s distinctive attire.
She matched the attire with black rebel boots and a shiny silver collar, letting her golden locks cascade in voluminous swirls, adorned with exquisite makeup.
Reportedly, the dress Dannielynn sported was a Gianfranco Ferre masterpiece from Janet Jackson’s personal stash, commanding a price close to $800. The midnight-colored ensemble boasts a shorter front and a trailing back, embellished with an array of zippers.
Her father opted for a timeless and straightforward approach, donning a grey suit matched with a black tie and shoes to elegantly harmonize with his daughter’s attention-grabbing ensemble.
The occasion also held a hint of celebration for the father-daughter pair, as Larry shared that Dannielynn had recently completed her high school education.
Dannielynn and Larry have been regulars at the Barnstable Brown Gala for quite some time. It appears to be a meaningful ritual for the family, a way to pay homage to Anna Nicole. Larry met Anna Nicole at the same gathering in 2003.
At that time, he was a photographer assigned to document the annual occasion, which supports the Barnstable Brown Diabetes Center at the University of Kentucky.
Sadly, the former Playboy model passed away nearly four years later, leaving behind Dannielynn, who was just five months old at the time.
Dannielynn was born in 2006, but sadly, just five months after that, in February 2007, Anna Nicole, 39, was discovered unconscious in a Florida hotel room and was declared dead in the hospital.
At first, Howard’s name was on Dannielynn’s birth certificate as her father. But Larry stepped forward, asserting paternity, and a DNA test ultimately proved that he was indeed the biological father of the little girl.
Dannielynn’s mother, Anna Nicole, who passed away, was an American socialite. She gained fame in the early 1990s by marrying Howard J. Marshall, who was 63 years older than her.
In September 2023, Larry Birkhead, Dannielynn’s father, uploaded a touching video compilation on Instagram to mark her 17th birthday. The post showcased a collection of seldom-seen photos of Smith from before her passing in 2007.
Among the personal photos spanning Dannielynn’s life, one captured her as a baby, nestled in her mother’s arms. Another precious moment showed the former Playboy model smiling warmly at her infant daughter.
